that day

I awoke to come downstairs and have my husband inform me that planes had crashed into the towers He said to me,"I hate to ruin your day, but a plane has flown into the two towers." We could only watch in horror as the events unfolded. I cried so many times that day and through the week as I watched all that had happened. I hope we never have to see something like that again, ever! Everytime now I hear the national anthem, I get all misty eyed because it makes me remember all the people that died and the people that died that tried to help those people that were injured.

Re: that day

On that day, everything changed. Everything I'd ever known--changed. And that day was hands down, the scariest I'd ever experienced. I live in a major metropolitan area and life just collectively drew a breath and silence surrounded us. No planes, no cars, no children playing, not even a bird or a dog. It was as if the city was afraid to breathe. I could hear the hum of electricity! Have you ever seen "Night of the Comet"? A meteor went over the earth and killed everyone not protected by the harmful rays. Towns turned into empty shells. There was silence everywhere. That's what it felt like to me. And I hope I never have that feeling ever again.

i've been so sad all day.

its so hard just carrying on with normal activities and not just crying all day.

i heard this beautiful song today by The Fray and I think its a great tribute. I think it is so great that the band is letting people download it on their myspace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=8378633
