I love Drew. I love him in this movie, and the other characters. Here's the question, though: Is there anything about this movie you don't particularly like, or things?

I, for example, think there were a few things that dragged on too long for effect (like Claire yelling "Sixty B!" or Drew and Chuck hugging that third time). Or how Claire launches into talking about Bens in the middle of a conversation about giving directions and you get no sense of the time lapse - should've been better edited.

And while I love 99.9 percent of the dialogue, I must confess there were a couple of clunkers, at least to me. Like "I'm hard to remember but impossible to forget"? (She doesn't seem quite drunk enough to deliver it.)

Again, am just stimulating discussion. You know I'm not a troll or a hater. *G*

(P.S. Although I do have to say I wanted to smack some guys in a couple of showings I went to. At his line about "No matter how good you look, you're safe with me tonight" there were a few guys tittering in my theaters. I wanted to stand up, turn around, and wave my hands like a conductor while saying, "Yes, he's pretty. So he must be gay. There, it's said, go back to being adults. Thank you!" and sit down. *eyeroll*)

I'm really honest when I say I love this movie. Actaully ther are only two points that make me nuts.

One is their conversation in the ball room where Drew is talking about "Ben" and him taking "serialy advantage". Not the best scene in the world during that particular part of the conversation. That part seemed forced.

And the second is the morning after, when Drew runs out to stop Claire and she says "substitute people". Her accent at that point makes me want to scratch a chalkboard. ;)

Oh--and sicne we discuss particular point we find in each viewing, I figure I better throw one in I noticed the first time and consistently continue to look for. The moment he stops to read the article in the magazine and "wallow". As the camera pans across the newsstand--there's a magazine with Liv Tyler on the cover. ;)

YES. I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that. I don't know if it's the dialogue or his delivery, but that scene just didn't DO it for me. (Not until the kissing started, anyway. Hee. Nice. Love the jaw.) My theory is Crowe has him trying to show too much interest in her too fast, and it just isn't working - he's been perfectly casual with her up to that point and then he gets all indignant on her behalf? Needs to be a better transition into it.

I search the magazines myself, but either didn't see or notice Liv. That's pretty funny; I was actually looking for something featuring The Man Himself, which would've been funnier than one can possibly imagine. ("Yes, my career in the shoe industry is over, but apparently I've been hired on as a model or actor! Go me!")

LOL Yes! Seeing his image on a magazine would be a total hoot! ;)
