No one will prescribe something for you? Do you mind if I ask why? (You don't have to answer.)

Hell if I know! I'm on assistance because I'm not able to work, but they won't give me social security and I've been fighting for it for years. Other than the fact that we the "uninsured" and "on assistance" aren't given a shit about.

That's so wrong! I'm actually going to be uninsured in a year or so, which will be bad, because I have a lot of medical issues and I'm on a lot of medications.

Was it just one doctor? Could you try going to another one?

I'm sorry. *hugs*

No, it's been three doctors now. And I just don't have the resources to go anywhere else, nor would any of them take me without insurance. For problems like this, this country really sucks.

That's horrible. I'm sorry. I might know how you feel in a year or so, because I'll be losing my insurance under my dad. So I have to do something before then.

*hugs*

If there's a way to get or keep insurance--do it! Trust me. And if you have a doctor, ask if they'll keep you after you no longer have insurance. Many will.

*hugs*

There is a way. We can buy it through my dad's work, it'll just be more expensive than it is now. But, that's what we'll do if we need to.

*hugs*

Be very glad you have that option!

Yeah I am. I'm just glad there's a state law that they HAD to cover me until I'm 24.

Yes!! If there's a way to get it and keep it--do it. Many young people don't realize how important it is. And the older you get, the more you need it.

I have lots of medical problems now, so I can only imagine what a mess I'll be when I'm older. I learned to plan ahead for the future, after watching my mom and her health.

That's good!

I'd been sick my whole life and experienced a few years of good health and thought I was passed everything. Uh... no. And now I'm a whole lot worse on many different levels and no insurance. So even if you get healthy for awhile, trust me--find a way to keep the insurance.

I definitely will. I've had weird stuff most of my life. Like when I was a kid, I had a blood disorder, called HSP for short. Scared my mom half to death. Then it was fibromyalgia. And Chronic Pain something. Then Chronic Fatuige. My doctors weren't sure what to do with me.

Insurance will ALWAYS be something I have. No matter what. It comes before anything else.

I've sworn I have Chronic Fatigue since I was 14 but no doctors I've been to believe in it. But I know that's the problem.

It sucks. *hugs*

Yes, you and I are quite used to feeling bad. :(

Chronic Fatigue sucked it out of me. I'd eat lunch, then just get so tired I couldn't do anything. If we were at the mall, even an hour away from home, I'd get so tired, I had to go home immediately.

But over time, it faded. I don't have problems with it anymore, thankfully.

When I did a sleep study thing, and they came up with this fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, pain thing, my doctor made me switch drs because it was outside what he knew. Then my new doctor never really addressed it.
